5K3, COLOMBIA
A team of five Colombian radio amateurs will activate the
special callsign 5K3B on December 8th. Activity is to celebrate the
Bicentenary Colombian Independence from the district of La Candelaria,
in the historical center of Bogota. Operations will be on 80-2 meters
using CW, SSB and the Digital modes. QSL via HK3O. Suggested frequencies
are:
CW - 3524, 7024, 10104, 14024, 18074, 21024, 24904, 28024 and 50105
SSB - 3790, 7065, 7150, 14195, 21295, 28495 and 50105

6W, SENEGAL
Dave, WJ2O, will be active as WJ2O/6W during the ARRL DX
CW Contest (February 19-20th) as a Single-Op/All-Band/High-Power entry.
Dave informs OPDX that he will arrive in Senegal on February 17th and
will be leaving on the 23rd. Activity outside of the contest will be
100% on CW and mostly on the 30/17/12 meter bands. Logs can be viewed

9L, SIERRA LEONE (Update)
Stephen, G7BXU, will be spending the Christmas
and New Year holidays in Freetown between December 19th and January 7th.
He hopes to be on air most days using the callsign 9L1BXU. His equipment
will be a FT-897 and a G5RV antenna. QSL via his home callsign after his
return.
A6, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
By the time you read this Don, N1DG, is expected
to leave Qatar (where he was active as A71A) to arrive in U.A.E on December
5th, for three days because of his job. However, his activity will be
limited due to his work; he is expected to operate from the A61AD station
once again, possibly on 12 and 17 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. The A61AD
station does have a 4 element SteppIR for 20-6 meters, so Don's activity
will be limited to those bands. Logs will be uploaded to LoTW upon
conclusion of his trip.
BX5, TAIWAN
Jimmy, BX5AA, will be active during the ARRL DX SSB Contest
(March 5-6th) as a Single-Op/All-Band/High-Power entry. Jimmy states that
BX5 is a rare prefix for Taiwan (CQ 24). QSL via BX5AA. Visit his Web page

C6, BAHAMAS
Drew, N2RFA, will once again be active as C6ABB from Nassau
(NA-001) between February 7-17th. Activity will be on 80/40/20/17 meters.
He plans to operate on some of the Digital modes (PSK31, RTTY and possibly

CY0, SABLE ISLAND (Update)
By the time you read this, the CY0 team
should be in Halifax, NS, Canada, completing the final logistics. The
latest report states that all equipment and supplies have already arrived
in Halifax - the departure point to Sable Island. The charter flight to
Sable Island is scheduled for an early morning departure on Monday,
December 6th. The CY0 team is hoping to be "ON THE AIR" by 2100z, Monday,
December 6th. Operators Randy/N0TG, Ron/AA4VK and Murray/WA4DAN will sign
homecall/CY0 through December 13th. Suggested frequencies are as follows

on or around 14260 kHz (IOTA Frequency) using 100 watts into a vertical
and/or long wire. However, there was a 15 meter spot reported on the
cluster network.

OC-130. By the time you read this Peter, DK2PR, is expected to be on the Island of Mindanao (WLOTA 2803) in the Philippines until January 3rd, 2011. SA-097. (Update to OPDX.984) Operators Cezar/VE3LYC and Johan/PA3EXX
will attempt a very challenging expedition to Wollaston Islands
(SA-031) and Diego Ramirez Islands (SA-097) between approx.
January 7-22nd. The team will have three transceivers (w/100
watts) and two Multi-band verticals (with and without traps).

Ryosei, JH0IXE/KH0C will be active as T8CW between December
22th and January 6th (2011). Activity will be on 160-6 meters with most
operations on the Digital modes, but he will use CW, SSB, RTTY, PSK31,

T8, PALAU
Operators Hitosh "Jin"/JA1LPH and Himeko "Hime"/JG1IDX will
be active as T88SC and T88SQ, respectively, from Palau Island (OC-009)
between December 8-12th. Activity will be on 20/15/10 meters SSB only.

V3, BELIZE (IOTA Op)
German operators Joe/DJ1JB and Max/DJ4EL will be
active as V31ML and V31ME, respectively, from four of Belize's islands
during January 2011. The duo plan to activate the following IOTAs on the
following dates:
January 10-11th - Ambergris Caye (NA-073)
January 11-14th - Caye Caulker (NA-073)
January 14-18th - Long Caye (NA-123)
January 18-26th - Tobacco Caye (NA-180)
Activity will be on 80-10 meters SSB using two stations with 100 watts
into homemade Quads, a wire antenna and a vertical. QSL via their home

V7, MARSHALL ISLANDS (Update/Callsign Change/IOTA Op)
The Russian
Robinson Club members Tim Tilleman/NL8F (V73TM - not V73CF as first
reported) and Yuri Sushkin/N3QQ (V73QQ) are now traveling to Enewetak
Atoll and are expected to be there on Monday, December 6th. Their plan
is to be on the uninhabited Ujelang Atoll (OC-278, a new IOTA) as V73RRC
between December 8-11th. Remember, all dates are subject to change due
to transportation availability and weather. Activity will be on 160-6
meters using CW and SSB. QSL V73RRC and V73QQ via N7RO. QSL V73TM via
K8NA. PLEASE NOTE: Yuri states, "DO NOT SUBMIT OTHER QSL REQUESTS WITH

VQ9, CHAGOS ISLANDS
Larry, VQ9LA, informs OPDX that he will depart the
British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), Diego Garcia (AF-006), on January
24th. He states, "My plans are to operate as much as possible up to the
last day, will try and put as much low band and RTTY on the air as possible
before my departure date. All logs will be updated to LoTW, direct/Bureau
QSL cards via N0QM will also be fine. Sending cards to my Diego address
may or may not be lost in the mail due to the post office mishandling of
mail. After my departure from VQ9, I will be living in the Philippines
part of the year and USA part of the year. All QSL cards after January
2011 will be handled once I make it back to the states next year (May
2011). Once the proper paperwork is filed with the RP Government I will
operate a Elecraft K2 transceiver 40-10 meters CW/RTTY. Low band ops will
not be possible the first year due to a small house. My callsign should

WH0, MARIANA ISLANDS
