QSL ROUTES by Johannes, DK8JB: SA25QW via SK6QW SF89IB via SM6CLU SB250TT via SM6JSM SI89B via SM6CLUQSLS FOR 5X4A AND 5X4B. Tom, DL8AAM (5Z4GD, ex OP 5Z4FU/A, 5X/DL8AAM etc.), informs OPDX that a great part of the original logs were lost in the "civil war" in Northern Uganda. The QTH of 5X4A and 5X4B was in Kitgum/Gulu, in Northern Uganda, near the Sudanese border. During the time of their activity and to date, this region has suffered from a cruel civil war between the central government and the LRA (Lord's Resistance Army). Tom mentions that he has a great box of "unanswered QSLs". He hopes that maybe later he will be able to return to the sites, and possibly find and collect the "lost" logbooks.
