Operator Leonid, 4K8F, will active during the CQ World Wide DX RTTY Contest (September 29-30th) as a Single-Op/Multi-Band entry. He will also be active in the CQ World Wide DX CW Contest (November 24-25th) as a Single-Op/Multi-Band/Low-Band entry. Most of the activity will be on the lower bands. QSL both operations via 4K8F.

4O, MONTENEGRO (IOTA Op)

5TH IDXC ANNOUNCEMENT

Operator Mark, M0DXR, will be active as 6Y5/M0DXR, February 12-25th (2008). Activity will include the ARRL DX CW Contest (February 16-17th) as a Single-Op/All-Band/Low-Power entry. Outside the contest Mark will be active on all bands. QSL via his home callsign.

8J1, JAPAN (Special Event)
Look for special event station 8J1ESP to be activated by Lenio/PY3DF, Tanaka/JA1FXZ and a group of International League of Esperantists Radioamateurs (ILERA) from the following areas in Japan:

July 31st-August 4th: From Nagano/Takato, Japan
August 4-12th : From the 92nd Esperanto World Conference in Yokohama
August 12-31st : From Tokyo

8Q, MALDIVES (Update)
Andrew, G7COD, will be active for the third time from Embudu Island, Maldives (AS-013), as 8Q7AK from September 30th to October 12th. Activity will be mainly SSB with possibility of a little CW on the 30/20/17/15/12 meters. Suggested frequencies are: 14147, 18133, 21253 and 24953 kHz (+/- 10 kHz to allow for QRM). Times of operation will be every day from 0830-1030z and 1300-1515z. QSL either via the bureau or direct to G7COD. More detailed information is available under 8Q7AK on (QRZ.com).

A5, BHUTAN
Steven, W7VOA, is currently in Thimpu and was active on 20 meters CW as A52SW for a short time around 1439z. He may also be active for a short on Monday and Tuesday (July 16-17th). Watch 20 and 17 meters. QSL via K2AU.

ARRL CONTEST & DXCC NEWS
The "ARRL Letter" reports: "The DXCC Honor Roll listing, which normally appears in the August issue, will be in the September 2007 issue of QST. In addition, the ARRL International DX Phone Contest Results that normally appear in the September issue will instead appear in October."

AS-120. Members of the Nicosia Amateur Radio Club will be active as 5B4NC from Agios Georgios [aka Kakoskaliou] (MIA MCI-001) during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 28-29th). No QSL inform- ation at this time.

EU-010. Members of the Workington and District Amateur Radio and IT Group will be active as MS0WRC from Crannag, NE Coast Isle of Barra (IOSA OH-11, SCOTIA HI-02, WAB NF70), Outer Hebrides, from October 6-12th. EU-072. Operators Zdenek/OK1MBZ and Jindrich/OK1MKI will be active as SV8/homecall from Skopelos Island, September 10-20th. Activity will be on CW from 80-10 meters.

EU-092. Jim, MM0BQI, will be active from the Summer Isles (IOSA SC10) during the last week in July and the first in August. He plans to be in the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 28-29th) using the callsigng MM0Q and the special event callsign GB5SI outside of the contest. QSL to MM0BQI, bureau, direct or the LoTW.

EU-170. Laci/HA6NL, and his friends Gyuszi/HA2VR, Zsolti/HA6PS, Sanyi/HA7JJS, Laci/HA7PL will be active as 9A6NL and 9A/homecall from Pasman Island (JN73QW, CI-085), between July 21-31th. Activity will be on all HF bands and 6 meters on CW and SSB, and possibly some digital modes are expected as well. All of them will work in the RSGB IOTA Contest with different callsigns, in different categories. NA-014. Dana, VE1VOX, will be active VE1OTA/VE9 from Grand Manan Island (C.I.S.A NB-003 and LH CAN-491), July 26-29th. Look for activity on 40/20/15 meters. QSL direct to VE1VOX.

NA-027. Fred, ON6QR, plans to be active as VO/ON6QR in the next RSGB IOTA Contest (July 28-29th) from Newfoundland. Activity will be mainly CW using a dipole, vertical and running QRP (5w). QSL via his home callsign.

NA-031. Page, WA3EOP, will be active as WA3EOP/p from Conanicut Island (USI RI-007S, Newport County, Rhode Island) and the Beavertail Lighthouse (ARLHS USA-048, WW Loc. FN41HK), July 18th. Most of the activity will take place during the after- noons and evenings. Suggested frequencies are: 14266, 14332, 7178 and 3902 kHz. Watch before and during the Century Club nets on 40 and 75 meters. The QSL will have a picture of the lighthouse on it. There will be an additional operator after 1900z, Al, KZ3AB.

SA-077. (POSTPONED) Brazilian operators that were going to activate Santana Island (ARLHS BRA-062 and WLOTA-0714) between July 12-15th had to cancel their operation due to Rick´s (PY1VOY) serious health problem which occurred last Monday (abnormal blood pressure). OPDX was informed that they will try to put the SA-077 on the air as soon Rick gets out of the hospital in Rio de Janeiro. They apologize for the delay.

IS0, SARDINIA (EU-024)
. Operator Tano, IZ8GCB, will be active as IS0/IZ8GCB between August 1-19th. Activity will be on 40/20/15/10 meters CW/SSB. QSL via his home callsign, direct or by the Bureau. Visit his Web page at:

JD1/M, MINAMI TORISHIMA (OC-073)
Operator Masafumi, JA6GXK, will be active as JA6GXK/JD1 between July 18th and August 2nd, and again from August 29th to September 30th. He seems to like PSK31 on 20 meters.

KH3, JOHNSTON ISLAND
Skipper of the USSV Dharma, Susan Meckley, W7KFI, is expected to depart sometime this week for Johnston Island (OC-023, USI OI-006). Susan was told that she is the last official operation from KH3-land as the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has delcared it a closed island. It took Susan 7 months to get permission from the USAF to stop there. Susan is expected to use the callsign KH3/W7KFI and prefers the CW mode (she states "I can get many more QSOs in"). Watch the frequencies 7036, 10105, 14036, and 18170 kHz. She will also operate SSB (possibly 14236 kHz), but can operate most anything upon request. QRP fans are supposed to watch 10105 kHz. QSL via her home callsign (QRZ.com).

LIGHTHOUSE ACTIVITY
Look for CE4T and CE4S to be active from Topocalma Lighthouse (CHI-076) during August 17-19th. They will also be active in the International Lighthouse/Lightship Weekend (ILLW - August 18-19th). Activity will be on 40/20/10 meters using SSB only. QSL CE4S and CE4T via EA5KB Jose in Spain.

Operators Ian/GW0VML and Jayne, Steve/G0SGB and Hugh/M1NTO will be participating in this year's International Lighthouse/Lightship Weekend (August 18-19th) as GB1SL from "The Skerries Lighthouse" (BARLS A-5168, RLHS WAL-030, TWLHD WLH GW-016, WW Loc. IO73QJ), in Wales. More details are forthcoming closer to the operation.

LIGHTHOUSE/IOTA ACTIVITY
Members of the Greater Norwalk Amateur Radio Club will be active as N1EV from Sheffield Island (NA-136, USI CT-008S, Fairfield County, CT) and the lighthouse (ARLHS USA-753, TWLHD WLH K-150, WLOTA LH-2712), during the International Lighthouse/Lightship Weekend, August 18-19th. Activity will be on 80-10 meters. QSL direct to N1EV (QRZ.com).

Members of the Motorola Amateur Radio Club (Florida Chapter) will take part of International Lighthouse/Lightship Weekend

and activate the Cape Florida Lighthouse (ARLHS USA-118), on August 18th from 1300-2330z, using the special callsign K4L. This lighthouse is on Key Biscayne, part of the Florida State South East Group, IOTA NA-141. Activity is planned for CW, Digital, and SSB operations on the IOTA frequencies on 40 and 20 meters. QSL via W4MOT, direct or by the Bureau.

Members of the Englewood Amateur Radio Society (EARS) plan to be active as K8ONV from the Boca Grande Lighthouse (ARLHS USA-910, WW Loc. EL86UR) on Gasparilla Island (NA-069, USI FL-034S, Charlotte County, Florida), August 18-19th. They will participate in the Inter- national Lighthouse Day. QSL via K8ONV (QRZ.com).

MARITIME MOBILE
Michel, F6DWQ (ex-FB8ZP), will be /MM aboard the "M/V Grigoriy Mikkheev" vessel around Svalbard (JW) from July 15-24th. Look for Michel to be mostly on 20 meters with a TS-50 rig.

OH0, ALAND ISLAND
Juha, OH9MM, will be active as OH0Z during the CQ World Wide DX RTTY Contest (September 29-30th) as a Single-Op/All-Band entry. QSL via W0MM.

P2, PAPUA NEW GUINEA (New IOTAs To Be Activated)
Look for operators Hans/SM6CVX, Derek/G3KHZ, Steve/G4EDG and Luis/CT1AGF to be active as P29VCX from Nukumanu Island (New IOTA OC-284) between September 23-29th. QSL via SM6CVX. The team will then go to Takuu Islands (New IOTA OC-283) and be active as P29NI from September 30th until October 5th. QSL via G3KHZ. It is also possible that the team may be active from Tulun Island (OC-256) between October 6-9th. The callsign is yet to be decided as is the QSL route. The group plans to have 3 stations and 2 linears on the air. Activity will be on all bands and each night they expect to be on either 80 or 160 meters as well as all the other bands. They will use verticals and multiband dipoles.

PIRATE ALERT
Mamuka, 4L2M, President of the National Association Radioamateurs of Georgia (NARG), informs OPDX that 4L6VV is a pirate station. Operator states his name is Yuri and is in Tkvarcheli. Mamuka says this is not a Georgian license, and they believe the pirate is operating from Russia. Please do not QSL this operation.

PJ4, NETHERLANDS ANTILLES
Operators Jeff/KU8E, John/K4BAI and Larry/ K5OT will be active as PJ4/homecall from Bonaire (IOTA SA-006) between November 20-27th. Also look for them to be active as PJ4A during the CQ World Wide DX CW Contest (November 24-25th) as a Multi-Single entry. QSL all callsigns via K4BAI.

Ed, KU4BP, QSL Manager for V26H in the 2007 ARRL DX SSB Contest, informs OPDX that the operators of V26H have informed Ed that QSL cards for V26H will be going to the printer in a few weeks. So Ed expects to have them by late August. He has confirmed all QSOs for the contest that he has received so far is 340+. Ed states, "My job is taking me out of town from mid July to mid November. When I return home I will start getting the cards out. Thank you all for your patience."

RAC DRAFTS A NEW HF BANDPLAN
The Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC) has been involved in the study and drafting of or a new proposed HF bandplan, which is now posted:

TO1, MARTINIQUE
Operators Franck/FM0IR, Thierry/FM0JR, Yvon/FM0JZ, Eric/FM1HM, Christian/FM1II, FM1KM and Tijus/FM1HN will be active using the special callsign TO1YR from July 29th to August 5th during the turn of the Round Skiffs of Martinique. Activity will be on 80-2 meters on SSB, RTTY and PSK.

VE2, CANADA (Special Event)
Look for special event station VE2XPO to be active from the site of the former Korean Pavilion on Ile Ste-Helene in Montreal from July 13-29th. Activity is to celebrate the 40th anni- versary of the 1967 EXPO.

VK9L, LORD HOWE ISLAND
Haru, JA1XGI (W8XGI), informs OPDX that he will be active as VK9GLX between October 19-22nd (only 3.5 days!). Activity will be on 40/30/20 meters and possibly the lower bands. Modes will be CW, SSB and Digital (RTTY, SSTV). QSL via JA1XGI (Bureau or direct) or W8XGI (only direct).

WP3, PUERTO RICO (NA-099)
Alfredo, WP3C, will be active in the CQWW DX RTTY Contest (September 29-30th) as a Single-Op/All-Band/Low-Power entry. His activity will also count for the WLOTA as LH-2802. QSL via W3HNK, direct preferred, but Bureau is OK.

YJ, VANUATU (OC-035)
