QSL via W3HNK.
4W, EAST TIMOR (Web site updated)

out at:
A3, TONGA ISLAND (also Fiji)
Hrane/YT1AD and Dragan/Z32AU are active as
A35AD and A35AU until October 28. After Tonga Island, they will be operating
as YJ0AD and YJ0AU, between October 28 and November 5th. They will return
to Fiji to be active as 3D2AD and 3D2AU between November 5-10th. Activity
will be on CW and SSB on all HF bands including 6 meters. QSL via YT1AD
and Z32AU.
A5, BHUTAN (Activity)
TN7A, HK0, and etc...) will be active from Paro, Bhutan, between
October 27th and November 3rd. The team consists of JA1PCY, JF1PJK,
JH1NBN, JK1AFI and JR7TEQ. They will take three HF transceivers and
one 6 meters transiver for this DXpedition. They will operate on all
bands 160-6 meters, SSB/CW/RTTY. They will use their own callsign
(callsigns not mentioned). Some of members will participate in the
CQWW DX SSB Contest while others will continue to be active on CW/RTTY
or the WARC bands during the contest. Although only using a 100 watts,
they will try to work 160m and 80m with a 65 foot vertical. JK1AFI
strongly wishes to give a new one for any 6m DXers. QSL all callsigns
via JH1NBN: Yoosuke Uchiyama, 924-4 Yokokawacho, Hachioji, 193-0823
JAPAN.
Charly, K4VUD, announced this past weekend: "I have it on good authority that I will be able to use at least 1000 watts xmit power in Bhutan (A5) during my trip there in early December 2000. At this moment, I do not have a 1Kw linear, but the permission is good news, at least. I want to try 160, 80 and 40 and am inquiring about 580 feet of straight line beverage installation. With Bhutan's wind (the thunder dragon!), a balloon vertical is likely out of the question. Antenna suggestions are welcome. I have already purchased my airline ticket for this trip, so if you know my thrift-iness, you know I am going! I will have more details to release soon... watch this space..." Charly's E-mail address is: k4vud@hotmail.com
FO, FRENCH POLYNESIA (IOTA Activity)
Look for Joel, F5JJW, to be active as FO0SUC or FO/F5JJW from Mangareva
(OC-063) October 10-18th, Moorea (OC-046) October 18-22nd and Tikehau

He will then return to Tahiti and may then activate Maupihaa (OC-057) until November 25th. QSL via ON4QM.
GM, SCOTLAND
On his way to the RSGB/IOTA meeting in Windsor, Don, W9DC,

various islands when the weather and opportunity arises. Don will focus
on trying to give North American stations a few Scottish islands from
EU-10. He will use the callsign MM/W9DC when he visits the Outer Hebrides
from October 5-7th. Don states that he hopes to be on Scalpay (OH-25)
during the evening of October 5th. He also plans to operate from 2 private
islands, Oronsay (SC16) and Carna (SC-17) in the Sugart Loch, sometime

EU-063. A group under the leadership of Mat, JW5NM, is planning a trip to Axeloya in the Svalbard Archipelago. This is an extremly rare IOTA entity because most of the area is off limits due to environmental concerns.
