* PLEASE NOTE: The report "could" contain "Pirate/SLIM" operations or
more likely a "BUSTED CALLSIGN". As always, you never know - "Work
  First Worry Later".

3A, MONACO. Ennio, IW1RBI, is planning to once again be active as 3A/IW1RBI
from Monaco during a weekend sometime either in late May, mid-June or early
July. This all depends on the Covid-19 restrictions. Activity will be on 30-6
meters using CW, SSB and FT8. QSL via the address on QRZ.com or LoTW.

6D1/6D2/6D3, MEXICO (Special). Members of the Association of Radio Amateur
of the Mexican Republic (ARARM) will activate three special callsign to
celebrate their club's 61st anniversary. Look for 6D1A, 6D2A and 6D3A to
be active until May 16th. Activity will be on 160-6 meters on all modes
and the satellites. Diplomas will be awarded in three different categories
(Gold/Silver/Bronze) based on the number of special stations contacted by
the applicant (or reports in the case of SWLs). Complete details are
available on QRZ.com. QSL Manager is XE2T via direct or LoTW.

6O, SOMALIA. Ali, EP3CQ, will once again be active as 6O1OO from Somalia
starting sometime in May. He returns to Mogadishu on April 25th, and
expects to be operational after his quarantine at the end of the month.
The length of his stay will be two months (exact end date to be confirmed
later). As always, his activity will be limited to his spare time because
he works for the UN Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) in Mogadishu.
Activity will be on 80/60/40/30/20/17/15/10/6 meters (mostly on 40/20
meters FT8) using CW, SSB and FT8. It is suggested to watch for him on
20 meters most days at 1700z. His rig is a FT-450D w/100 and 180 watts
into a Little Tarheel II and SE-360. The 6O1OO station is currently the
only active and licensed Amateur Radio Station in Somalia. QSL direct to:
Ali Solhjoo, Schnackenburgstr. 3, Berlin 12159, Germany. QSL cards will
be replied on a bi-monthly basis. IRC's are not accepted. For updates,
it is suggested to watch QRZ.com or Twitter (https://twitter.com/EP3CQ).
ADDED NOTES: All received QSL cards by April 10th, 2021, will be replied
to by April 15th, 2021. Any QSL card that is received after April 10th,
will be replied to in July 2021. Ali also mentions that he is looking
for support/help to upgrade his 3 year old station.

8N1, JAPAN (Special Event). Look for 8N1MORSE to be active from many
districts of Japan. This special amateur radio station is to promote
the Morse Communication activities in 2021 and commemorate the 230th
anniversary of the birth of Samuel Morse, the 120th anniversary of the
Guglielmo Marconi's 1st successful transatlantic radio communication
by Morse Code, etc. This station is valid from 2021-Apr-12 to 2022-Feb-28
and will be operated by members of A1 Club and Denpaken Club-Employee
Social Club of NICT (National Institute of Information and Communications
Technology) with support of CQ Publishing Co.,Ltd. Offical website is
under construction at: https://www.8n1morse.org

E6 & A3, NIUE AND TONGA (Postponed Again). Stan, LZ1GC, and the team for
the E6AM and A35GC DXpeditions has been postponed again. Their operations
were expected to take place between October and November 2021. Activity
was postponed "due to travel restrictive measures related to CONVID-19."
They will try again next October and November 2022.

FO/A, FO/M & TX7, AUSTRAL AND MARQUESAS ISLANDS. Lance, W7GJ, who was
expected to be active last year from these locations, but had to postponed
due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, is now planning to be active during
the upcoming fall season. He states, "Now that Air Tahiti has published
its flight schedule for next fall, I have changed my flight and lodging
reservations to provide extended stays in both DXCC. Now the operations
in both DXCC include very favorable days for 6m EME, as well as common
moon windows with virtually all active 6m EME operators all over the
world. I am looking forward to providing the first activations of both
the Austral Islands and the Marquesas Islands on 6m EME. Given the large
growth in the number of stations active on 6m EME, and the development
of the new Q65 software, I am very excited to see how many stations I can
work! Please just remember to spread out when you call ;-)."
Lance states, "Of course, there is always the possibility that some of
the flights and connections along the way will be changed and the operating
schedule will not be able to proceed as planned. However, assuming that
he flights will remain as booked, and that the current Covid-19 quarantine
requirements will be lifted by October, the updated planned travel and
operating schedules for both DXCC are on my Web pages at:
      http://www.bigskyspaces.com/w7gj/Austral%20Islands%202020.htm
      http://www.bigskyspaces.com/w7gj/Marquesas%202020.htm
I still have to negotiate some solution to the excess baggage problem,
since they don't guarantee transportation of so much extra luggage along
with me on my flights. However, that is something to deal with as the time
for departure gets closer..."
Lance, states, "As you can see on the above Web pages, I will be planning
on using Q65-60A for all my 6m EME operations. Please familiarize yourself
with this new mode; links are on the above Web pages. If you have never
tried 6m EME before, you have 6 months to upgrade your station and become
familiar with working 6m EME ;-)"
He states [edited], "If a station is unable to produce a stable enough
signal for Q65-60A, we may be able to try JT65A or Q65-60B as required,
but please do your best to make your transmitter stable enough for Q65
and insure that your computer clock is accurate to within a second. I
hope to be able to have at least occasional access to the internet in
both DXCC entities. Because both DXCC are located in the TEP Zone, I
also am expecting to be able to work a number of stations using FT8
and/or Q65-30C mode via ionospheric propagation. Rimatara, Austral Islands
(OC-050), is a solo 6m-only operation between October 15-24th, and the
callsign will be FO/W7GJ. If you have any questions that are not covered
in the above Web pages, or you are anticipating a problem contacting me
during the posted operating schedule, please let me know. I will be joined
by Gene, KB7Q, for at least part of the Hiva Oa, Marquesas Islands (OC-027),
operation, and he will be activating the Marquesas for the first time on
2m EME. We will both be using the TX7MB callsign from that DXCC entity
between October 27th and November 7th. If you have specific questions
about KB7Q's operation, please contact him directly; I am sure he will be
announcing details of his plans as we get closer to October.
QSL FO/W7GJ and TX7MB via W7GJ, direct or LoTW. For more details,
updates and how to help Lance's month long operation, use the above Web
pages or check out QRZ.com.

SRAL (OH) CENTENNIAL IN FULL SWING ON INTERNATIONAL AMATEUR RADIO DAY
(Press Release By Martti, OH2BH; From The Desk Of SRAL, Finland) [edited].
The program calls all OHs very active for remaining 2021 as part of their
League's 100 Anniversary. All your OH friends welcome you to their cen-
tennial year activity.

EARN THE HIGHEST RECOGNITION FROM YOUR OH FRIENDS -- Just contact 100
(one hundred) of your OH friends during 2021 and 10 (ten) specially
featured Finnish stations to earn the OH Northern Light 100-year cer-
tificate (OH-NL-100) and the featured story, explaining the magic of
the OH-land and the Northern Lights:

Your 100 contacts should include 50 OH stations and 50 OF stations, a
total of 100. A special OF prefix will be launched to all OH stations
on September 15th, 2021. Your maximum point value can be 100. The number
  of your OF/OH contacts.

TEN SPECIAL ACTIVITY MULTIPLIERS -- SRAL and its members are active in
a wide range of Amateur Radio activities and each of the ten multipliers
represent some of those activities. The multiplying stations are:
  OH100SRAL, OH2A, OH0W, OJ0C, OF2HQ, OH2YOTA, OG2B, OH6SRAL, OI3AX and
  OF9X.

This coming weekend, starting already on Saturday, the 17th and including
the International Amateur Radio Day, April,18th, you will catch a minimum
  of five (5) of the featured multipliers: OH100SRAL, OH6SRAL, OH2A, OG2B
  and OI3AX.

OH100SRAL: This is the official SRAL centennial jubilee station which
is circulating all year throughout Finland and is activated by SRAL's
member societies (120) and special activity groups. OH2BCI and OH2KW
  at controls.

OH6SRAL: Every Saturday at 3 PM SRAL transmits its radio news to its
entire membership. OH6 is in the middle of the country and has a long
history of such transmissions. The chief, Heikki, OH6ZS has done those
transmissions for more than 40 years and his dedication to this duty
  continues. OH6ZS at controls.

OH2A: This is the SRAL HQ station in our capital, Helsinki. It is
rarely active internationally, but to honor this special year you
can catch it occasionally. Surely A is first in the alphabets. OH2KI
  and OH3JR at controls.

OG2B: The IARU/NCDXF beacon network has been supported by the SRAL
and its dedicated members for almost 40 years. While OH2B is busy at
work, the alternative OG2B will be its substitute during this centennial
jubilee. Surely you have used the network; (www.ncdxf.org.beacon/)
  Here OH2BH, OH2GEK and OH7EA at controls.

OI3AX: Amateur Radio activity in the Finnish Signal Corps (OI prefix)
have a brilliant history of cooperation with SRAL. Many well-known OHs
have caught the bug while doing their service to their country. OI3AX
will represent the country-wide network of 35 OI-locations. OH2LGW at
  controls.

SCORING -- Multiplying your QSO points (maximum 100) by your multiplier
value (max 10) will give you your score - maximum of 1000 points. OH Boy!

All who score 1000 points and the top-ten continental highest scorers
will receive their OH-NL-100 certificate signed by Santa Claus. A special
lottery will feature additional special prizes that will be announced
  later.

Your log extract should be sent to the Santa Claus offices at
(of9x@sral.fi) during January 2022. The same address will answer all
questions relating to this centennial activity.

For easy logging, please use the special activity sheet at:

T5, SOLMALIA. Alex, IT9HRK (aka T6/IT9HRK, 5A/IT9HRK, YI9/IT9ADT) is
reportedly now based in Mogadishu for the next couple of months as of
April 11th, and is expected to be active as T5/IT9HRK. He works for the
UN crisis management. Activity will be on various HF bands using mainly
SSB, but will try CW, RTTY and PSK.

USENET NEWGROUP MODERATORS REJECTED OPDX.1511. If you are wondering
why OPDX.1511 did not appear on UseNet NewGroups "rec.radio.info" and
"rec.radio.amateur.dx", it was because the bulletin was REJECTED for
"Solicitation for 3Y0J DXpedition fundraising. - PWS." The line they
are referring to is under the section listed "3Y/B, BOUVET ISLAND (The
Major News of the Week!)...." stating -- "The 3Y0J team is looking for
funding, and details are available on their Web page."
The Moderators/Administrators of these groups (which are Hams) informed
OPDX: "Your message has been rejected because it is an offer to buy, sell,
or trade, or contains commercial advertising or other commercial content,
which is not permitted on rec.radio.info. The newsgroup rec.radio.swap
has been set up for this purpose, and your message should be posted there,
instead."
In further communications with them, they state it was a "difficult
edge case" and "As a matter of editorial consistency, we have turned down
submissions that involve for-sale or any kind of fund-raising, with the
narrow exception of Amateur Radio-related and closely-affiliated organi-
zations that have 501c3 status, or its equivalent in other countries
(e.g., ARRL, TAPR, AMSAT, RSGB, Red Cross, etc.). Setting the line here
allows us to not get overwhelmed by many similar appeals where the charit-
able benefit is not clear, or not validated. This includes not only
DXpeditions, but appeals for cancer patients, etc. DXpeditions are also
arguably business ventures with unclear charitable aims."
DXpeditions and fund-raising to go to these rare places is part of
this hobby. The line "The 3Y0J team is looking for funding, and details
are available on their Web page" is not a solicitation but a reference
point to those who would like to donate. If you agree, express your views
and opinions to the Moderators/Administrators at:
                     rec-radio-info-request@panix.com

VK9X, CHRISTMAS ISLAND. A few sources are reporting that Steve, VK6SJ,
will be active as VK9XX from Christmas Island (OC-002) between May 7-28th.
Activity will be concentrated on FT8 on 80/40/30 meters during his spare
time. He will be using a FT-857D with a vertical antenna. QSL via EB7DX.
