NA-085. (Reminder/Update) Bruce, K5TEN, will activate Dog Island using
the callsign K4D between June 3-10th. Dog Island, Florida, is
an extremely rare IOTA because access is controlled by the 20
or so homeowners on the island. There are no hams on the island,
and the only activations have been done by Bruce over the last
4 years. Access is by permission only and permission by one of
the homeowners. It is only accessible by private charter or
single engine fixed wing aircraft. The airstrip is overgrown
so private charter is the only real choice. There are no streets,
roads, stop signs, trendy cafes, or beach-front bars. If you
need it, you bring it. Activity will be both SSB and CW, on 40-2
meters. Bruce will be checking 10m and 6m often for Sporadic E.
Look for him during daylight USA on 15 and 20 meters, nighttime
           30 and 40m. He will use 160 watts on 2 meter SSB/CW with a 6
           element yagi. Suggested frequencies are:
            SSB - 7180, 14235, 18115, 21275, 24940 and 28310 kHz
            CW - 7029, 10110, 14029, 18077, 21029, 24930 and 28010 kHz
QSL via K5TEN, SASE REQUIRED for stateside and DX (DX 2 USDs
REQUIRED). For more details, watch the discussion on Eham.net at:
           http://www.eham.net/ehamforum/smf/index.php/topic,113944.0.html

NA-137. Harry, W1HMM, will be active from Monhegan Island between June
9-11th. Activity will be QRP on 40 and 20 meters using SSB and
the Digital modes. Other bands are possible, depending on the
propagation. QSL via his home callsign, direct or by the Bureau.

NA-157. Mikhail, VE7ACN, will be active as NL6/VE7ACN from Kayak Island
between August 18-28th. Activity will be on 160-10 meters CW
and SSB. QSL via his home callsign or LoTW.

OC-267/ (Reminder) Andrey, VK5MAV, who was expected to be active as
OC-160. VK9MAV from Marion Reef, Coral Sea Islands, between June
10-16th, has now postponed his operation for another week
(June 17-24th) due to boat problems. Watch QRZ.com for updates
           at: http://www.qrz.com/db/vk9mav
Activity will be on various HF bands using an Icom IC -7200
transceiver, VDA and dipole antennas. QSL via VK5MAV, direct,
ClubLog's OQRS or via RN3RQ by the Bureau. ADDED NOTE: He is
planning (possibly) to be active from Whitsundays Islands
(OC-160) on the way to there and back (5-6 hours each time at
local night, probably 40m CW only).

NOT IN MOUNT ATHOS. Bernie, W3UR, Editor of "The Daily DX", received an
E-mail from George, SV1RP, who reports that he was not in Mt. Athos during
the CQWW WPX CW Contest as some DX publications/outlets were reporting.
Signing SV2/SV1RP/A during the contest, George was transmitting from his
alternative shack, which is located in northern Greece and specifically
in Giannitsa City.

REALTIME BAND CONDITIONS WEB SITE :
The purpose of this experimental Web site is to provide 24-7-365 actual
(REALTIME) band condition information to CW QRPp, QRPe and CW/SSB for
Contesters interested in increasing their scores. It can also be of
benefit to other Radio Amateurs to determine band conditions for Nets
and casual QSO's. This information is NOT based on any software pre-
dictions or any kind of satellite based readings. It is based on a
new Ionospheric sounding method called "HF Ionospheric Interferometry"
which operates very similarly to the PolSAR system used by NASA.
