QSL INFO UPDATE FROM VU2PAI. Pai, VU2PAI, sent the following to OPDX:
"Greetings from Mangalore ,South India,VU2PAI address is: Ananth G.Pai, Bharath Beedi Works Pvt Ltd, Post Box 730, Bharath Bagh,Kadri Road, Mangalore 575 003, India.
With a heavy heart I wish to inform the sad news about the loss my beloved father recently. He encouraged me very much in all walks of life and specially he helped me and motivated a lot for Ham Radio. The reason for my mail is to request you to publish some information that I will give in this mail in your next news bulletin.I have a small back log of the QSLs that I have received recently from about June-August as I was travelling to the U.S. in May-June to attend Dayton Hamfest, and I have not been active on the air for about 2 months since the death of my father. I am now QRV, and I will be sending all the pending cards soon. I once again request all DX hams not to send any green stamps with their QSL card. IRCs are fine no problem at all. I also read that it is difficult to get IRCs in many post offices in Europe and now the U.S.A also. But please do not forget to send a self addressed envelope or an address label with your QSL request.(More info on (QRZ.com) under my call VU2PAI)
I will be very happy to send cards via direct even without IRC or green stamp, no problem, I request hams to please use 3 or 4 beautiful stamps on the envelope when they send me their card. If possible they can send me 3 or 4 mint (unused stamps) from their country or any saved envelopes that they have from exchanging QSLs from other DX contacts to me. I love collecting stamps and stamps on envelopes. I still have some photo QSL cards from my previous activations like St.Marys Island (IOTA AS-096), Sacrifice Rock Island (Iota AS-161), AT0PAI,AT2PAI,VU2PAI/50 etc.
I DO NOT have any QSL Manager, and I handle all my QSL requests. Some databases showed a QSL Manager in Italy for me which is wrong infor- mation.
All QSL cards only for VU7LD/VU2PAI (Laccadive Islands) is VIA W3HNK ONLY.
I have also been appointed as the QSL manager for ALL VU stations since the last one year, and I will be happy to forward all incoming QSL cards to the members of the ARSI (Amateur Radio Society Of India which is affiliated to the IARU).
Best wishes to all and Seasons greetings in Advance for a very Merry Christmas and happy, healthy and a prosperous 2013."

I hope to have better conditions in December and January, but the stations who want to work me may need a lot of patience.QSL via OK1DOT, LoTW and eQSL. Yan's Twitter and Web page can be found at:My setup is rather simple with 100W in a low-above-ground 80m OCF Dipole for TX antenna and an homebrew coaxial-made small loop for RX antenna. I will also try to be on the air for Europe around 2200z (my sunrise), but I have not a lot of spare time for this so don't expect me to be there every morning. However, band conditions are usually better at sunrise than at sunset so the QSO rate could be better. For more details about my planned operations (when I am able to plan something) will be available on my Twitter account @XV4Y. See you on the air."
